With more than one million followers on Instagram and a busy professional as well as social life, one could easily think that influencer, entrepreneur and model, Mathilde Gøhler, would sometimes have a hard time keeping both feet on the ground. But that is exactly what she enjoys the most; being outside surrounded by nature, hand in hand with her girls, Kenya and Lelou.
“We usually start our days with slow mornings, preferably as slow as possible, we enjoy not having to leave early. Then we go out and enjoy the weather, just now it might be taking a swim near the canals, a trip to the beaches or a pinic in the woods. We always pack a lot of snacks when we go on trips, preferably healthy ones such as fruit and vegetables, dried mangos and dates. There is nothing I enjoy more than spending time with the girls in the ourdoors where it is peaceful and quiet."

While Mathilde is travelling a lot throuhgtout the year, she enjoys staying in Denmark with her family during the summer holidays
"We will be enjoying the Danish summer, while the trees are at their greenest and the beaches are beautiful. I have always traveled a lot during the Summer, but as I am getting older I prefer to enjoy the Danish summer and travel at other times of the year when the weather is not so attractive in Denmark."

With a strong eye for beautiful design and Scandinavian simplicity, Mathilde is a huge inspiration when it comes to dressing her kids in a beautiful yet easy and natural manner.
"Quality is one of my priorities. I love when the girls wear natural, cozy and soft clothes such as cotton, linen and cashmere. It is both timeless and durable and it can be reused multiple times if you wash it carefully. I don't think I've bought a single 'high fashion' item for Lelou, since I know it wont keep its shape and after wear it's almost ready to be thrown out; that really feels like a waste and something I don't like. Both of the girls have attended a Rudolf Steiner daycare, where it is important that both materials and colors are as practical and natural as possible. I really think it suits this playful and active age, where children should not care too much about what they wear, making it simple for them. Kenya is now at school and takes great pleasure in choosing her own clothes and "styling" her own outfits."

Being close to her own mother and sister, family and the relationship between her two girls is really important to Mathilde. The best thing she knows is seeing Kenya & Lelou together.
"The two of them enjoy each others company so much, whether it is Kenya's calmness and patience towards Lelou, or whether it is Lelou's antics that will make Kenya burst into laughter. It exceeds all my expectations of how much they enjoy each others company every single day, and I am so grateful. "
